An Attribute value represents one of the possible values of its owning attribute. An attribute that has no attribute values can be set to any value within the range of its Value type.

Depending on the Value type of the attribute an attribute value represents a text (string), a real number (double) or an integer number which is stored as its Name. This means that the format of the entered name must be a valid value for the value type.
