Products are the starting point for building configuration models in COMBINUM. It's to the product that you connect parameters, price lists, bill-of-materials, reports etc. Therefore, most navigation originates from a product. Notice that there doesn't have to be a one-to-one relationship between the products that you add in COMBINUM and your product branding from a marketing perspective. Think of product objects in COMBINUM as configuration models.
When you’ve started COMBINUM Architect you will see an inner window with the header COMBINUM. In this, you will find all products and any product families for grouping products.
To add a new product right click on COMBINUM, a product family or another product.
Products that are added directly to the COMBINUM root or to a Product family will be available for direct configuration in the end user system. Products that are added as children to other products can be configured as children of a corresponding parent configuration. Read more about this in
