Rules can be shared between products. To use the same rule in another product you simply copy and paste it as link or create the link via drag & drop.
Before creating the link between the rule and another product Combinum verifies that all parameters and attributes that are included in the rule (by direct reference or in an expression) also exist in the destination product, otherwise the rule would not work. If the destination product is missing a parameter or attribute, Combinum will inform the user and refuse linking the rule.
Only shared parameters and attributes are available
Once a rule is linked to several products the rule dialog will only present parameters and attributes that are included in all linked products. If no parameters or attributes are shared the lists of parameters and attributes will be blank.
Same categorization of shared rules
If a rule is classified in a rule category, the rule will appear in the same category in the destination products.
Remarks
To be able to link a rule to another product it's not enough that the receiving product has parameters with the same names, it must be the very same parameters that are linked to tabs of both products.
